No. MerryList has no accounts and no sign-in. Everything you add lives on your device.
What does Pro include?

Can I try it before adding my own people?
Yes. On the first screen, tap “Or try it with a sample list” to load three made-up people with a few years of history. Swipe to delete them, or remove all three at once from the Account tab.
Will I lose my list if I get a new phone?
Your list rides along in your phone's normal backup, the same as your other apps. Pro's CSV export also gives you a manual backup you can keep anywhere.
